In 2015, Billy founded Billy’s Stone Crab Fisheries (BSC) 30 minutes north of Key West on the then unassuming island of Summerland Key. Billy had grown tired of being unable to control the volume and quality of the volatile stone crab market and sought a means by which the restaurant could provide the best quality stone crab, at the best price possible year around.

With a commitment to taking care of our employees, our fisherman, and our environment, BSC quickly rose to local prominence.After nearly 10 years of operation in the Florida Keys, and an expansive second location in Marathon Key, BSC has become one of the largest stone crab fisheries in the world, fully realizing Billy’s dream of not only being in full control of his crabs, but also fresh Florida fish and lobster.

With the support of more than 50 fifty independent fisherman and their families, Billy’s has become a national staple not just as a restaurant but as a wholesaler ensuring as many people as possible are able to try our delectable South Florida seafood, fresh from our fisheries right to your table.
